So I set about trying to diet and I suppose it was a bit of a control thing. AdvertisementI just did diet after diet and the mad thing is that I never really had weight to lose in the first place. AdvertisementA nutrition degree didn't stop me from doing fad dietsWhen I was 22, I was so obsessed with nutrition that I decided to go and do a degree in it. I could write a meal plan for someone to lose weight, but I now know it's never about being told. It really got me into thinking there's got to be a better way to either sustainably lose weight and keep it off or get out of that mindset that you even need to lose weight in the first place.

A video of armed personnel climbing aboard a bulk carrier from three smaller motorboats has been falsely presented online as showing Yemen’s Houthis hijacking a cargo ship in the Red Sea in mid-November. The video can be dated to at least June 2022, more than a year before the Red Sea incident. On Nov. 20, the Houthis released video of armed men seizing the Galaxy Leader, a British-owned and Japanese-operated cargo ship that the rebels described as being Israeli. The vessel in the Houthis video does not resemble the one in the social media posts. The video dates to at least June 2022, thus predating the Houthis seizure of the Galaxy Leader.

A Houthi fighter holds up a pistol in the cargo area of the Galaxy Leader cargo ship in the Red Sea in this photo released November 20, 2023. Kirby's comment was significant because one of the Biden administration's first acts after taking office in January 2021 was revoking terrorist designations of the Houthis over fears the sanctions they carried could worsen Yemen's humanitarian crisis. Kirby called the Houthis' seizure of the vessel a "flagrant violation of international law" in which "Iran is complicit." "In light of this, we have begun a review of potential terrorist designations and we will be considering other options as well with our allies and partners as well," Kirby said at a White House press briefing. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Feb. 12, 2021, revoked the designations in "recognition of the dire humanitarian situation in Yemen."

[1/5] The Galaxy Leader cargo ship is escorted by Houthi boats in the Red Sea in this photo released November 20, 2023. Israel on Sunday said the Houthis had seized a British-owned, Japanese-operated cargo ship in the southern Red Sea, describing the incident as an "Iranian act of terrorism" with consequences for international maritime security. The Houthis, an ally of Tehran, confirmed that they had seized a ship in that area but described it as Israeli. The Glovis Star drifted for a number of hours in the Red Sea before continuing its journey, AIS ship tracking data showed on Monday. Houthi leadership last week said their forces would make further attacks on Israel and they could target Israeli ships in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

A view shows the Boeing 737-700 BBJ (plane number RA-73890) private aircraft on the tarmac of the Pulkovo International Airport in Saint Petersburg, Russia, June 14, 2023. The Boeing linked to Yevtushenkov was among at least 50 private jets re-registered under the Russian flag since the February 2022 invasion, according to previously unreported national aircraft registry data up to early August reviewed by Reuters. Several of the repatriated private jets were associated with prominent politicians and business figures, according to two senior Russian aviation industry sources, who were not authorised to speak to the media and spoke on condition of anonymity. Because of sanctions, Russian planes are prohibited from entering the 27-country European Union, where Russia's oligarchs previously flew frequently for business and leisure and where many private jets linked to them were registered before the war, tail numbers show. VEB, Uralkali and Mazepin did not respond to requests for comment on the registration of the jets in Russia.

Aug 23 (Reuters) - A second rider has died after a crash in qualifying for the centenary edition of the Manx Grand Prix motorcycle races on the Isle of Man, organisers said on Wednesday. Ian Bainbridge, a 69-year-old Briton who had been a regular competitor in the event since 2005, died on Tuesday evening at the exit of Kirk Michael village during the second qualifying session. Gary Vines, a 33-year-old British rider who competed in this year's TT races as well as being a Manx regular, died in Sunday's first qualifying session after an accident at Ballagarey. The Manx Grand Prix was first run in 1923 as the Manx Amateur Road Races and features mainly amateur riders competing over the island's TT course. Like the TT races the Manx ranks among the deadliest events in motorsport.

Silas Walton struggled to sell his watch as a student when he was strapped for cash. It sparked the idea of an online watch resellerI wanted to offer a smooth system for clients buying and selling via the platform. Coincidentally, a friend of my family happened to sell watches. I wanted to pitch him my idea, but I decided to pitch it to an online watch forum first. Six years ago, if you bought independent watches, you were expected to lose money.
